  • 1) That Council confirm that notwithstanding the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is different from that proposed at the May 1, 2024 Statutory Public Meeting, the revisions are minor in nature and no further Statutory Public Meeting is required in accordance with Section 34(17) of the Planning Act; and 

    2) That Council enact By-law No. 2024-078-ZO being a by-law to implement the regulations for Additional Residential Unit in the Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2010-001-ZO. 

  • 1) That Council direct Staff to issue a Notice of Decision to approve Revisions to Draft Plan of Subdivision File No. 19T-90.001, subject to the conditions as set out in Attachment 4 to Report No. DS-032-24, in accordance with Section 51(31) of the Planning Act

  • 1) That Council direct staff to issue a Notice of Decision to draft approve Subdivision File No. 19T(W)-22.002 and ZBA.22.004, subject to the conditions of draft plan approval as set out in Attachment 3 to Report No. DS-033-24, in accordance with Section 51(31) of the Planning Act; and

    2) That Council enact By-law 2024-079-ZO being a by-law to amend the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2010-001-ZO by applying site-specific zones and direct staff to issue a Notice of Passing; and 

    3) That Council confirm that notwithstanding that the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment as attached to this report is different from the Zoning By-law Amendment proposed at the June 29, 2022 Statutory Public Meeting, the revisions are minor in nature and that no further Statutory Public Meeting is required. 

  • 1) That Council approve the draft 2024 Asset Management Plan for current levels of service and the accompanying presentation.

  • WHEREAS housing affordability continues to be a challenge for many residents in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville; and

    WHEREAS multi-generational households are becoming more common; and

    WHEREAS the parking requirements for these multi-generational households exceed the parking available; and

    WHEREAS the driveway apron between the sidewalk and curb on Brown Lane and Betula Gate precludes a car parking in this area without contravening the Parking By-Law; and

    WHEREAS the right-of-way on Brown Lane and Betula Gate is a sufficient width that allowing overnight parking on the road will not adversely affect emergency response; 

    NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Parking By-law for parking improvements, Schedule III (Three (3) Hour Parking Exemptions) be amended on Brown Lane and Betula Gate, as follows:

    •    On the south side of Brown Lane between nos. 5 and 35,
    •    On the east side of Brown Lane between nos. 32 (flankage) and 58, and
    •    On the west side of Betula Gate between no. 6 and 22 Brown Lane (flankage)
